Everyone is Awkward

Hellooo, today it is Molly writing for you.  I'm so sorry I haven't written in ages, but I was away on holiday (Shetland and the Highlands, with a little bitta Orkney and Aberdeen in between - more on that in another post) and then I was busy, and then I didn't know what to write...

So my birthday was last week. I was pretty excited, because, 1) I knew for a fact I had an iPhone coming my way, and 2) because ya know, who isn't excited for their birthday... But I'm also kinda shy (oh, the horror of being sung HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUU in front of people) so I told like my three best friends, and no-one else knew.

Well, I was a bit too excited, maybe, because what happened was it was raining, my iPhone (which was second hand btw) was listed as "a replaced product" on the Apple IMEI website thingy, and had to get sent back, and my school changed the stupid uniform code, so my shoes were now "inappropriate for school wear" - my school shoes were black and white vans; hey, now I have these, but still. Plus it was a Thursday, and on Thursdays I have athletics. Then Physics. It's a hard life.

I don't know if I just wasn't in the mood or not - I swear my friends were more excited than me - but my birthday just kinda made me feel all introverted and glum. Other things happened too, but they were all little things like the Co-op didn't have butterscotch Angel Delight, but only strawberry. I spent most of the evening wandering round with my cat, sighing at things.

Yeah, well, everyone has off days, I guess.

Current Favourites

Bonjour, I hope all of you are doing well, and are having/had a Fab Easter. I am currently on a bus on my way to the airport (it’s 5.00 in the morning) as I'm going skiing tomorrow, so Molly will be the one posting the post but I (Octavia) am writing it.

Today I am going to be doing a favourite’s post and you could call it April favourite’s but that would be lying as I have been meaning to do this post since February, so let's call it recent favourites. Anyway I have rambled for too long now let's nice on to the actual post.

In my last favourite’s post I was using a different mascara which I no longer use, and when I went to buy a new one this was on offer so I picked it up and I love it so much. It gives me long, separate lashes that stay in all day. The only fault is that it can be a bit clumpy but other than that I love it.

I have also been using something else to take my makeup off at night; I can't even remember what I was using before, something. Anyway back on to the point I love this so much and it is actually very good for you as it is organic. If you are looking for some nice skin care products Neal's yard is great, although quite pricey, my mum sells them so she gives me the products but most of them aren't in my price range. Urg I'm rambling again, it's a very bad habit, and anyway as I was saying this stuff has done miracles for my skin and I love it A LOT.

I wrote about this in my last favourites post that I did, and it is the collection lasting perfection concealer, so rather than write a whole paragraph about a product I have already wrote about I am just going to send you there via THIS link. (Click on “THIS” is you want to read itJ)

This is the final beauty product that I am going to be writing about, and probably my favourite my far. This is my perfume; there is a story behind this perfume which I am going to shorten by saying that I bought it in Switzerland, which is only a bit of a problem as I have no idea where in Switzerland. It wasn’t even very expensive (13 franks) but it’s just the fact that I won’t be able to buy it again so I use this perfume very sparingly. The actual scent of the perfume is sweet and fruity and basically the smell of me, if anyone can find this please tell me, because I don’t want it to EVER run outL.

The final three items are very random, especially this one; I have been loving oat milk recently; I discovered it through my sister who is a bit of a crazy health women. I was drinking hazelnut milk but Alpro actually put a lot of crap in there milks to make it sweet and tasty. So I went looking for a healthy alternative and came across this brand, which I can't remember the name of, but it uses only natural ingredients and is actually really tasty. I seem to be rambling again, oh dear. This milk has done magic for my skin and my body in general, I just love it.

If you don’t like art or are not interested in me going on about pencils then just scroll past this one, if you are then *high five*. I found these pencils in Paperchase (a stationary store, just in case you’ve been living deprived of stationary) and they weren’t cheap to say the least (£25 not cheap) so I got the smaller pack and loved them so much, but I got those about two years ago and they are little stubs now, so I asked for some for my birthday and I know have these bad boys. The colour in them is so good and they last really well, I would DEFINATLEY recommend them.

I want to talk about two items of clothing next one is a pair of shoes and the other is a pair of jeans, and took them both skiing with me because they are so, so, so comfy to wear. I bought the shoes from office in the sale and the jeans from urban outfitters and they were both really great purchases.

That concludes my post, and as it turns out I am now back from skiing and it was so, so, so, so, so great I met the loveliest people there I just want to go back, as it turns out I (Octavia) am posting the post, but oh well Molly read it, so she helped. I hope you all had a great Easter.

Love Tavi xxx

p.s if you were wondering why they photos have very different lighting and different flowers it's because they were taken at different times.

Bridges and churches

Hey, its Molly. So first, happy international day of happiness. Also, happy first day of spring.  And happy solar eclipse! We got out of class to watch the 'rare phenomenon' (in the words of my CDT teacher) and I looked at it full on - accidentally - for a second and saw pink crescent moons every time I blinked for a while after. Don't try it kids.

So here are some photos from a walk I went on recently. Enjoyyyyyyyy!

More of me getting blinded by the sun

This is actually a really old bridge, but you can't see
cos of all the leaves.

Blurry rocks cos yeah

My camera was freaking out at this point and the focus went
haywire, but it looked hella cool, so I took this photo.

we are the kids your mum warned you about...

THE LIGHT

Up the bridge

On the bridge

Down the bridge

You can just see my brother being a squirrel behind this tree

Shadow pics, because I'm a cool kid
So there's that.... Ok. that was just a little post because I wanted to post. I promise the next one I do won't be a photo post, cos I know I've done a lot of them recently.

Right then, Byeeee xox

Happy mother's day!

Hey it's Molly..... My weekend has been not too eventful, I had orchestra practice yesterday (3 hours of it) and today I was in town trying to find a black shirt because apparently I can't wear a white one for the performance thingy (for orchestra), and I'm really wishing I never agreed to go to orchestra in the first place.
Property of Google doodles

So happy mother's day to everyone out there. I woke up to Google reminding me that baby tigers are all you need in this crazy world (wait for the tiger, its vv. cute) and then made my mum cupcakes, which I am about to show you... There is no recipe, so I'm not doing that... I'm so badass that I don't need a recipe. Enjoy!

Basically I made cupcakes - the reason I don't need a recipe is that I have a shortcut to actually measuring things out. What you do is weigh three eggs, and then the weight of that - mine today was 198 grams - is the same amount of flour, sugar and butter you put in. So you get equal quantities. I also put in some vanilla essence, just because I can ;)

Then I made like a ton of icing and sorted it into six bowls and put food colouring in each one. then I sort of dripped the icing on in lines and it made a crazy rainbow pattern.

Then I decided to mix up the rest of the icing JUST BECAUSE

So yeahhhhhhhhh.

Untrusted

I feel disconnected. Disconnected from the people I thought loved me. I feel like they have pulled me out of our friendship, like a phone charger, and now there’s only so long before I'm going to shut down with the pain.

We all have friendships that change; we all have experienced the loss of a friend. There is only one thing worse than this. That’s thinking that they loved you only to find out that they don’t, that you where the one doing the loving not them.

I always thought of myself as a “people pleaser”; I always thought I did that job quite well, apparently not, apparently it’s hard to please people, but I didn’t realise that until I found out the hard way. I found out slowly then all at once, I also seem to have lost all my friends slowly, then all at once. People always say that patience fixes things, but I have been patient and nothing has changed, all that’s changed is that I have become less trusting of people that I once trusted. People that I loved; now I can’t. How can I trust and love people, if all around me people are falling because of my trust. Trust is not an object it’s a rare object best viewed in a museum with a “Do not touch”, sign; “it will do you more harm than good”. I'm not saying trust is bad; just don’t put your trust in the wrong people, only trust the people you really can trust.

That’s where I went wrong; I trusted the people I was told not to trust by the people I do trust. It is a mistake I shall never make again, one I don’t want to make again; and make sure you don’t make it.

Hello, hope you liked that, I just really needed to get that out, and tell someone, so I thought I would tell you, so I can help both of us. Anyway, hope you all have a fabby weekend.

Take to the hills, Take your self away

Heya, Octavia here today, I went on a last weekend and I just thought that I would share them with you. I went to some crazy extents to get these photos, I climbed up a tree at one point and at another point I found myself climbing a cliff, crazy. I have a little thing to say at the end so stay tuned for that, and enjoy the photos.

So I hoped you liked that, I really enjoyed getting back into the vibes of photography as I haven’t done anything with my camera for a while.

So my “little thing” is that I have been talking to someone I met on Instagram, and we are thing about doing a collab kind of thing, so make sure you check that out when it comes. Also I have a more wordy post for next week so if you like those posts more keep your eyes peeled for that.

Anyway, hope you all have a great weekend; I am planning on staying in and doing French and geography homework, fun, fun, fun.

bye, bye Tavi xxxxx
